Retro Insanity!

Two summers ago I visited Mo and Geri and I found some pictures that show exactly what Geri has to put up with when I come out to visit. He is a patient man, but it is very apparent that even the strongest of men have their limits (see exhibit A). I think we were making him pose for pictures and making him take pictures. As you will see, we were a little off task...

Penner Time

That's right~it's that time of year! The Penner family invaded Idaho for about a week--we had lots of fun and ate a lot of food! Here are just a couple of pictures (b/c that's all I usually take).

Melita (sis in law) and Chewy were the best of friends during her visit.

I tried to get a picture of Jim riding away into the sunset via bike. He liked to do this--we called it his contemplative bike time. I thought about downloading some Yanni onto my Ipod for him, but common sense and common taste stopped me--he would have probably rather listened to Johnny Cash anyway...

Duane took Matt and Melita down the Boise River. There were no crazy incidents and no one fell out of the boat. Unheard of!!!

Here are my beautiful flowers. Some people choose to make fun of them, but I grew them from seeds and they have mad character. Duane calls them my "special flowers". Whatever.

The Great White North

We went up to Canada this weekend for a retirement party and a baby shower. I actually brought the camera (miracle), and I had batteries with power(another miracle), so I got a few pics.

Chewy got to ride on the plane--she would give a little yelp during takeoff every time--we think her ears were popping, but that's just a guess. Maybe Duane was pinching her.

Aww, Audrey was so darn cute! My sis-in-law Jen has been doing a great job and for some weird reason is a bit tired...

Duane crashed the baby shower party and demanded to hold the baby.

Canadians like to reduce/reuse!

Everywhere I go, people seem to know that I am a big freak for sweets! My mother-in-law put a sign on the Nanaimo bars; she knows what's up! :)

I didn't get any pics of the retirement party-woops! Picture a backyard party with a great view of the mountains, loads of cold drinks, lots of family and gallons of mosquito spray. Jim has been a teacher in Agassiz, B.C. for 33 years and has probably taught most of the town. He's a stud!
